CHICKEN CURRY

Ingredients required


  • Chicken - 500 gms
  • Chopped onion - 1½ cup
  • Sliced green chilly - 2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Cloves - 3
  • Cinnamon stick - 2
  • Cashew nut powder - 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - as required
  • Grated tomato - 2 cups
  • Yogurt(curd) - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric - ¼ tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 4 tsp

       Method to prepare
      1. powder the cloves, cinnamon stick and keep aside.
      2.Take a pan, add oil and allow to heat.
      3. Add onion, chilly and fry for 2 minutes in medium flame.
      4. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 minute.Add tomato and cook until it melts well.
      5. Add chicken, turmeric, salt, red chilly powder and fry for sometime.
      6. Then add cumin powder, coriander powder, cloves & cinnamon stick powder, curd and fry for 2 minutes.
      7. Add little water, close the lid and cook until chicken cook well.
      8. Add cashew nut powder, coriander leaves and cook for two more minutes, switch off the flame.
      9. Delicious chicken curry is ready.
    10. Serve with rice or roti or vadas as you like.
