CHAMAGADDA FRY/ARBI FRY

Ingredients required

  • Arbi - 500 gms
  • Chopped onion - ½ cup
  • Chopped green chilly - 1
  • Chana dal - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Mustard seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - as required
  • Coriander leaves - as required
  • Salt - 1 tsp

  • Turmeric - ¼ tsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Chopped garlic - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 5 tsp
      Method to prepare
      1. Cook arbi three fourth, peal off and keep aside.
      2. Take a pan, add oil add chana dal, urad dal, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and fry for half a minute.
      3. Add chopped onion, green chilly, chopped garlic, curry leaves and fry for two minutes in medium flame.
      4. Add salt, turmeric, red chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and fry for one minute.
      5. Add boiled arbi( If needed, you can also deep fry the arbi as per choice), mix properly close the lid and cook for 3 to 4 
          minutes in low flame.
      6. Now, open the lid, mix again and fry for another 5 minutes.
      7. Finally, add coriander leaves and switch off the stove.
      8. Spicy and crispy arbi fry is ready.
      9. Serve with Dal as starter.
