SEMIYA PAYASAM/ VERMICELLI KHEER

Ingredients required 
  • Semiya/vermicelli - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Cashew nuts - 10
  • Raisins - 10
  • Cardamom powder - ¼ tsp
  • Ghee - 3 tsp
  • Water - 1 cup







      Method to prepare
      1. Boil the milk and keep aside.
      2. Take a pan, add 1 tsp of Ghee and fry cashew nuts, raisins.
      3. In the same pan, add semiya, fry for 4 minutes in low flame. Add water and let it boil for a couple of minutes.
      4. Add milk, let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes in medium flame. Add sugar, cardamom powder, ghee and cook for 5 minutes 
          in low flame by stirring continiously.
      5. Delicious semiya payasam is ready. Serve it hot.
