- Rice flour - 2 cups
- Gram flour(besan) - 1cup
- Ajwain - ½ tsp
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Red chilly powder - ½ tsp
- Ghee - 1 tsp
- Oil - to fry
Method to prepare
1. Take a bowl, add rice flour, besan, salt, red chilly powder and mix well.
2. Heat ghee, add to the above mixture and mix thoroughly.
3. Boil ajwain in half a cup of water for 3 minutes, strain the water and add water to the above mix.
4. Knead the dough thoroughly by adding sufficient water.The consistency of dough should be as chapati dough.
5. Take a kadai, add oil and allow to heat.
6. Fill the prepared dough in a muruku mold.Gently press muruku mold over oil by making circles, so that dough comes out
and drop into oil.
7. Deep fry muruku on both sides in medium flame until they change into golden in color. Take out from oil and do the same
for the rest of dough.
8. Crispy and tasty murukulu are ready.
