NAN KHATAI

Ingredients required

  • All purpose flour(maida) - 100 gm
  • Powdered sugar - 50 gm
  • Ghee - 50 gm
  • Baking powder - ½ tsp
  • Baking soda - ¼ tsp
  • Salt - pinch
  • Yogurt(curd) - 1 tsp
  • Cardamom powder - ¼ tsp
  • Cocoa powder - 1 tsp
  • Chopped cashew nuts - 8
  • Chopped walnuts - 4




      Method to prepare
      1.Take a bowl add ghee, sugar and beat well until puffy.
      2.Take another bowl, mix maida, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cardamom powder and add to the above mixture.
      3. Add curd and mix well. If the mixture is sticky, you can add little more maida & sugar.
      4. Make dough into one inch ball size, roll in the chopped nuts, slightly flatten them and place in the greased baking pan.
      5. For colorful cookies.....Take a bowl, Add some dough, Cocoa powder and mix well. Now by mixing both the plain & coated
           dough prepare cookies  and bake them.
      6. Pre-heat oven to  1200C for 5 minutes and bake for 10 minutes.
      7. Softy & tasty Nan khatai are ready.
