CHAMADUMPALA PULUSU

Ingredients required
  • Arbi - 500 gms
  • Onions - 1 cup
  • Sliced green chilly - 2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Chopped garlic - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Cumin(jeera)seeds - 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
  •  Methi seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Rice - ¼ tsp
  • Tamarind juice - ½ cup
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - as required
  • Coriander leaves - as required

      Method to prepare
      1. Boil the arbi, peal off and keep them aside.
      2. Roast the coriander seeds, ½ tsp cumin seeds, rice, methi seeds to make a powder and keep this masala powder aside.
      3. Take a pan, add oil and allow to heat.
      4. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, onion, green chilly,fry for 2 to 3 minutes in medium flame.
      5. Now add ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder, fry for 2 minutes and add boiled arbi, mix well.
      6. Then add salt, red chilly powder, prepared masala powder and stir it. 
      7. Add tamarind juice, sufficient water,close the lid and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.
      8. Add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
      9. Tastiest chamadumpala pulusu is ready for your lunch.
