- Chopped methi leaves (fenugreek leaves) - 2 cups
- Wheat flour - 2 cups
- Amchoor powder - ½ tsp
- Cumin(jeera)seeds - ¼ tsp
- Chopped ginger - ¼ tsp
- Grated green chilly - ¼ tsp
- Pepper powder - ¼ tsp
- Yogurt(curd) - 1 tsp
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Oil - as required
Method to prepare
1. Take a bowl, add wheat flour, ¼ tsp salt, 1 tsp of oil and knead as chapati dough by adding water.
2. Keep this dough aside for 15 minutes.
3. Take a pan, add 3 tsp of oil and allow to heat.4. Add jeera, ginger, green chilly, salt, fry for 2 minutes in low flame.
5. Now add methi leaves, fry in low flame for 5 minutes.
6. Then add curd, cook until it becomeS dry.
7. Add amchoor powder, fry for 3 minutes and switch off the flame.
8.Take dough, roll in the shape of circle, so that middle of the chapati should be thicker than the edges.
9. Now take some methi leaves mix(same quantity as we have taken from chapati dough), place at the middle of the pressed
chapati,close it .
10. Roll the dumpling into chapati. Do the same for the rest of the dough & methi leaves mix.
11. Take a tawa and allow to heat. Fry these parathas both sides by applying ghee or butter.
