MIRCHI BAJJI/ MIRAPAKAYA BAJJILU

Ingredients required
  • Big green chilly - 10
  • Gram flour(besan) - 200 gms
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - ½ tsp
  • Cooking soda - ¼ tsp
  • Sesame seeds(nuvvulu)(thil) - 2 tsp
  • Cumin(jeera)powder - 1 tsp  
  • Tamarind paste - 1 tsp
  • Ajwain -  ¼ tsp
  • Oil - to fry





    Method to prepare
      1. Make a fine paste of sesame seeds, ajwain, tamarind paste, ½ tsp of salt, ½ tsp of cumin powder by adding little water.
          Keep this masala paste aside.
      2. Slit green chillies, remove seeds and stuff with the masala paste as required and keep aside.
      3. Take a bowl, add besan, salt, red chilly powder, cumin(jeera)powder, cooking soda, mix well.
      4. Add sufficient water to above mixture and make a thick batter.(consistency of the batter should be thicker than dosa batter)
      5. Take a kadai, pour oil and allow to heat.
      6. Now take stuffed green chillies one by one, dip in the prepared batter, take out and put into the oil. 
      7. Fry  for 4 to 5 minutes in medium flame.
      8. When they change into nice  golden color, take out.
      9. Spicy mirchi bajjis are ready.
