ATUKULA UPMA(POHA UPMA)

Ingredients required


  • Poha(Atukulu) - 250 gm
  • Chopped onion - ½ cup
  • Sliced green chilly - 3
  • Chana dal - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves - as required
  • Fried chana(putana) powder - 4 tsp
  • Grated dry coconut powder - 3 tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 4 tsp

      Method to prepare
      1. Soak poha in water for 3 to 4 minutes.
      2. Squeeze water from poha and keep aside.
      3. Take a pan, add oil and allow to heat.
      4. Add chana dal, urad dal, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and fry for 1 min in medium flame.
      5. Add onions, green chilly, and fry for 2 minutes by adding curry leaves.
      6. Add wet poha to it and cook for one more minute.
      7. Add salt, fried chana powder, coconut powder and mix well.
      8. Cook for two more minutes and switch off the flame.
      9. Softy and tasty poha upma is ready, serve it hot.
