- All purpose flour(maida) - 2 cups
- Sugar - 1½ cup
- Eggs - 3
- Baking powder - 1½ tsp
- Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
- Butter - ¾ cup
Method to prepare
1. Separate egg yolk and whites.
2. Take a bowl, add egg whites, beat till stiff and keep aside.

3. Take another bowl, add egg yolk and beat thoroughly.
4. Add sugar and creamed butter to the egg yolk and mix.
5. Mix all purpose flour(maida) and baking powder in a separate bowl, add this to above mixture and beat until puffy.
6. Mix this puffy batter to the egg whites and beat for at-least 6 to 7 minutes.

7. Pour the puffy batter into a Greased baking pan.
8. Preheat oven for 5 minutes at 1750 C and bake at same temperature for 30 minutes.
9. Puffy and tasty plain cake is ready.
