KARA BOONDI

Ingredients required
  • Besan(Gram flour) - 250 gms
  • Pea nuts - 50 gms
  • Salt - ¼ tsp
  • Red chilly powder - ¼ tsp
  • Garlic mashed - 1 tsp  
  • Curry leaves - as required
  • Boondi ladle 
  • Oil - to fry






      Method to prepare
      1. Take a bowl, add gram flour, sufficient water, mix well. The consistency of the batter should be not very loose or thick.
          It should be medium.
      2. Take a kadai, pour oil and allow to heat.

      3. Now, take the boondi ladle and pour a little batter on the ladle. The batter will fall through the holes into the hot oil.
      4. Fry the balls till golden brown and drain it. Do the same procedure for remaining batter.
      5. Now, fry the pea nuts, curry leaves, mashed garlic, take them out and add to the fried boondi.
      6. Add salt, red chilly powder and mix well.
      7. Hot & Spicy kara boondi is ready.
      8. Store in a air tight container and serve it as tea time snack or with sambar-rice.
