For cake
- All purpose flour(maida) - 2½ cups
- Eggs - 3
- Powdered sugar - 2 ½ cups
- Melted butter - 4 tsp
- Baking powder - 2 tsp
- Vanilla essence - 1½ tsp
- Cocoa powder - 4½ tsp
For icing
Method to prepare
1. Take a bowl, add maida, powdered sugar, baking powder, 4 tsp cocoa powder, mix well and keep this mixed powder aside.
2. Now, take another bowl, beat the eggs for 5 to 7 minutes. Add essence, 4 tsp of melted butter and beat for 4 to 5 minutes.
3. To this mixture, add prepared mixed powder little by little and mix throughly. Stir it for 5 minutes and keep this cake
batter aside.
4. Grease the baking pan with butter, add cake batter to the pan.
5. Pre-heat oven at 1800 C for 10 minutes and bake at same temperature for 30 minutes.(Take a toothpick, insert at the center
of cake, it should comes out clean)
6. Spongy Chocolate cake is done. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
7. Now for toping, take a pan, add 30 gms of butter, choco chips, switch the flame until butter melts and keep this aside
for 5 minutes.
8. Take spongy chocolate cake and spread with the above butter mixture through out the cake.
9. For icing, take a small bowl, add 20 gms of butter, ½ tsp of cocoa powder,1½ tsp sugar powder, beat until it is smooth.
10. Put it into the icing tube and decorate as you like.
11. Yummy.. Yummy chocolate cake is ready.
