- Mutton - 500 gm
- Chana dal - 100 gm
- Onion - 2
- Green chilly - 2
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Tomato - 2
- Cloves - 2
- Cinnamon stick - 2
- Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
- Black pepper - ½ tsp
- Oil - 4 tsp
- Salt - 1 ½ tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- Coriander leaves - as required
Method to prepare
1. Half boil the chana dal and keep aside.
2. Grind cloves, cinnamon stick, black pepper, coriander seeds to make masala powder and keep aside.
3. Place a pan, pour oil and allow to heat.
4. Add chopped onion, green chilly, fry for 2 minutes and add ginger garlic paste, fry for another 2 minutes.
5. Put tomatoes into the pan and cook for 2 more minutes.
6. Add mutton,turmeric powder, salt, red chilly powder and fry for 3 minutes in medium flame.
7. Add prepared masala powder , water and cook until meat become soft.
8. Add boiled chana dal, little water to meat, cook for 5 min in low flame and switch off the stove.
9. Delicious Senagapappu mutton is ready.
10. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice or roti.
