- Sabudana - 2 cups
- Water - 2 cups
- Pea nuts - 50 gm
- Chana Dal - ½ tsp
- Urad Dal - ½ tsp
- Jeera - ½ tsp
- Rai - ½ tsp
- Onion - 1
- Green chilly - 2
- Ginger Garlic - ½ tsp
- Red chilly - 1
- Oil - 3 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Curry leaves - as required
- Coriander leaves - as required
Method to prepare
1. Soak sabudana in water for 3 hours.
2. Roast pea nuts without oil and grind it to make powder and keep aside.
3. Chop the onion and green chilly.
4. Now take a Kadai, pour oil and allow to heat.
5. Add chana dal, urad dal, jeera, rai.
6. When they are fried add red chilly, curry leaves, green chilly, onions and fry for 2 minutes.
7. Add Ginger Garlic paste and fry for 1 minute.
8. Then Add sabudana, salt and cook for 2 minutes in low flame.
9. Do not close the lid.
10. Add pea nut powder, coriander leaves and stir properly.
11. Cook for 2 minutes and switch off the stove.
12. Great ! Sabudana Upma is wonderful and yummy, serve hot and enjoy.
