Ingredients required
- Paneer - 250 gm
- Mattar - 1 cup
- Chopped onion - 1 cup
- Sliced green chilly - 1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Grated tomato - ½ cup
- Coriander powder - ½ tsp
- Cumin(jeera)powder - ¼ tsp
- Amchur powder - ½ tsp
- Cashew nuts paste - 1 tsp
- Cloves - 2
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves - as required
- Butter - 1 tsp
- Oil - 4 tsp
Method to prepare
1.Powder the cloves, cinnamon stick and keep this masala powder aside.
2. Cook the mattar three - fourth and keep aside.

3. In the same pan add butter, 2 tsp of oil and allow to heat.
4. Add onion, green chilly, fry for 2 to 3 minutes, add ginger garlic paste and fry for another 2 to 3 minutes in medium flame.
5. Let it cool and make a paste. Now place the same pan, add oil and allow to heat.

6. Add prepared fried onion paste, grated tomato, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder fry for 3 minutes in medium flame.
7. When the oil oozes out add prepared masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, amchoor powder, fry for 2 min and
add a cup of water and let it cook for another 2 minutes.
8. Now add cooked mattar and cook for a couple of minutes in low flame.

9. Then add cubed paneer(fry if need), sufficient water, coriander leaves, cook for 3 minutes in low flame and switch off the stove.
10. Marvelous mattar paneer is ready, serve this dish with rice or roti.
