ALOO GOBI FRY

Ingredients required

  • Potato - 250 gm
  • Cauliflower - 250 gm
  • Chopped onion - 1 cup
  • Sliced green chilly - 2
  • Chopped tomato - ½ cup
  • Red chilly - 1
  • Chopped garlic - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder - ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves - as required
  • Coriander leaves - as required
  • Salt - ¾ tsp
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  • Red chilly powder - ½ tsp
  • Oil - 4 tsp
      Method to prepare
      1. Chop the potato, cauliflower and keep aside.
      2. Take a kadai, add oil and allow to heat.
      3. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chilly and fry for ½ minute.
      4. Then add onion, green chilly, garlic and fry until they cook well.
      5. Add tomato and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
      6. Add turmeric, salt, red chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and mix well.
      7. Now add cauliflower, close the lid and cook for 3 minutes.
      8. Then add potato, mix well, close the lid. Approximately it will take 15 to 20 minutes to cook.
      9. Stir it at regular intervals of every 3 to 4 minutes. 
    10. Aloo gobi fry is ready.
