For koftas
- Paneer (mashed) - 1 cup
- Boiled Potato (mashed) - 1 cup
- Salt - ¼ tsp
- Amchoor powder - ¼ tsp
- Cashew nuts powder - 1 tsp
- Finely chopped green chilly - ¼ tsp
- All purpose flour (maida) - 2 tsp
For gravy
- Finely chopped onion - ½ cup
- Ginger garlic paste - ½ tsp
- Grated tomato - ½ cup
- Salt - ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- Cream - 2 tsp
- Coriander leaves - as required
- Oil - to fry
- All purpose flour (maida) - 1 tsp
For Masala
- Cashew nuts powder - 1 tsp
- Cloves & Cinnamon stick powder - ¼ tsp
- Cumin seeds powder - ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder - ¼ tsp
- Amchoor powder - ¼ tsp
- Red chilly powder - ¼ tsp
Method to prepare
1. Take a bowl, add all the kofta ingredients except maida and mix well.
2. Make this mixture into balls and keep this kofta balls aside.
3. Now take a small bowl, add maida, little water, mix to make a thick batter.
4. Take a Kadai, add oil and allow to heat. Dip kofta balls in the maida batter and put into the oil.
5. Fry for 5 to 6 minutes in medium flame and keep these fried kofta balls aside.
6. Now take a pan, add 4 tsp of oil, allow to heat. Add onions, fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add ginger garlic paste, fry for
another 2 minutes in medium flame.
7. Add grated tomato, turmeric powder, salt and fry for 2 minutes in medium flame. Add all masala ingredients and cook for
2 minutes.
8. Add 1½ cup of water, cashew nut powder, maida paste (mix 1 tsp of maida and 2 to 3 tsp of water) for thickness
and allow to boil the gravy.
9. Now, add fried kofta balls, coriander leaves, cream, into the gravy, cook for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.
10. Yummy & delicious paneer kofta is ready. Serve it with roti or rice.
Note :- Add Koftas to the gravy 20 minutes before to serve.
