- Aloo - 250 gm
- Bread slices - 10
- Chopped onion - ½ cup
- Chopped green chilly - ½ tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - ½ tsp
- Cumin(Jeera) powder - ½ tsp
- Lemon juice - ½ tsp
- Salt - as required
- Red chilly powder - ½ tsp
- Turmeric - pinch
- Coriander leaves - as required
- Oil - to fry
Method to prepare
1. Boil aloo, peal them off. Mash half of the boiled aloo and the rest half cut into small cubes.
2. Take a pan, add 2 tsp oil and allow to heat.
3. Add onion, green chilly, ginger garlic paste and fry.
4. Add mashed aloo and cubed aloo and fry for 2 minutes in medium flame.
5. Add turmeric, salt, red chilly powder, jeera powder and fry for another 2 minutes.
6. Now add coriander leaves and switch off the stove. Add lemon juice and let it cool for 5 minutes.
7. With this mixture make equal size aloo balls and keep aside.
8 . Place a Kadai on stove, pour oil and allow to heat.
9. Take a bowl of water. Dip the bread slice in water and immediately take out the bread slice, place it on palm and press
gently to remove water.
10. Place the aloo ball at the center of the bread and make it in the shape of ball. Do the same procedure for rest slices.
11. Deep fry these balls in oil in medium flame until they turn into golden brown in color.
12. Tasty bread aloo bonda are ready for your evening snack, serve it with tomato ketchup.
